Summer Music Intentives

Hello, I’m Claire Barrass - an experienced music teacher with a music room in Eastbourne, East Sussex.

If you are looking for tailored and fun lessons to suit your musical goals for piano, flute or saxophone, please get in touch.

Whatever your age or level, I’d be delighted to teach you music!

Piano doesn’t have to be a solitary instrument. There are opportunities to play duets with other students and to join social events out of lessons. Our music community welcomes you.

Summer Music Intensives

🎹🎶 Keep Their Musical Progress Growing This Summer! 🎶🎹

Is your child aged 12 or under? Are you keen to help them maintain their musical momentum over the long summer break rather than losing valuable skills and confidence?

I'm delighted to share that over the past six months, my students aged 12 and under have achieved a 100% Distinction pass rate with the MTB Music Examinations Board. 🌟

This summer, I am offering one-to-one Piano and Flute Holiday Music Intensives designed to be engaging, interactive, inspiring, and tailored entirely to your child.

âś… Use existing exam pieces and material your child has already prepared
âś… Personalised coaching to refine technique, performance and musical understanding
âś… Lessons held in my registered MTB examination studio
âś… Parents fully involved throughout the learning process
âś… 45-minute lessons scheduled across the summer for consistency and progress
âś… Ideal for children attending schools with long summer holidays who want to stay motivated and keep developing

For families considering an exam, there is an exciting incentive:

🏆 Take an MTB exam before the end of the summer holidays and achieve a Distinction, and you'll receive a voucher for 20% off Christmas Holiday Intensive lessons (based on current lesson rates).

Whether your child is already working towards an exam or simply wants to continue enjoying music over the summer, these sessions provide focused support in a fun and encouraging environment.

Places are limited to ensure every student receives the individual attention they deserve.

đź“© Message me to discuss your child's current level and reserve a summer intensive place.

Let's help your child return to school in September playing with confidence, enthusiasm and even stronger musical skills than before! 🎵✨

About Claire Barrass

I am a musician and music teacher based in Eastbourne.

As your music teacher, what matters to me most is finding out what really inspires you, because practising shouldn’t feel like a chore.

Classically trained from the age of 6 on the piano, I added the flute aged 11 and later the sax. I love performing and travelled across the country with a band in my teens.

In my early 20s, I studied piano further in the USA, before returning to the UK to complete my four year teaching degree, with a specialism in music - which, of course, enabled me to become a music teacher.

My taste is eclectic - I love country music, have a background in classical, and really enjoy playing sax in big bands and folk music.

I regularly accompany pupils for their music exams.
